This one is not yet part of their MENU but soon it will be!
Definitely a must try!

Live Life Restaurant is a three year old restaurant owned by a certified nutritionist whose clients are from here and abroad. Having a broad knowledge on food composition, balanced diet and healthy lifestyle, the owner, Ms. Sylvia Cancio decided to share her expertise with the public from a simple food gatherings with friends to a full bloom restaurant.

From appetizers, soups, salad to main course, house specialties, pasta, noodles to desserts and drinks, this place is truly a haven of pure vegetarian experience.

Mushroom Cheese Wantons with Tomato Salsa

To start of, I indulged with Mushroom Cheese Wantons with Tomato Salsa. I love how the sweetness coming from the salsa matches the saltiness coming from wanton. This is a perfect way to begin a day which I like to call "a gastronomic adventure". Up next on the list, I tried Fresh Vegetable Lumpia. They used shredded ubod instead of the chopped ones. The serving is actually good for four (4).

Vegetable Curry

I am not a fan of curry but their Vegetable Curry in Coconut Cream is an exception. I like the kick of curry with a hint of sweetness coming from the coconut cream. The richness of the flavor compliments the vegetables used in this dish. Eggplant with Saikyo Miso is an interesting entry on the menu. At first, I thought there's a sweetened tamarind paste in the dish but it's actually the Saikyo Miso. Based on my readings, Saikyo Miso usually comes from Kyoto, Japan and known as sweet miso. Compared with other miso, saikyo has the least amount of salt  which minimizes the intense flavor to a naturally sweet, mild taste.

Mushroom Quinoa

It's my first time to try quinoa and it's actually surprisingly good. For those of you who don't know what quinoa, pronounced as keen-wa, it's a plant based protein and considered as "the mother grain".  Pineapple Quinoa and Mushroom Quinoa is served and I must admit I like the former. The kick of pineapple compliments the rich texture of quinoa. I can eat this dish all day! Quinoa dishes were considered as their house specialties.

Halo Halo with Almond Milk and Chia Seeds

As I always say on my foodie adventures, you need to save some space for DESSERTS! I've tried Turon, a traditional fried wrapped banana with jackfruit medley, and Halo Halo with Almond Milk and Chia Seeds. Yes! A halo halo with chia seeds. Isn't it amazing? I love the texture of chia seeds spoon after spoon as I reach the bottom of my glass. I am unstoppable as I indulge with every bite.

Buko Shake with a hint of Kaffir Lime

I also got a chance to try their Buko (coconut) Shake with hint of Kaffir Lime, Chocolate Banana Shake with Agave which comprised of raw cacao, agave and almond milk and  their Cashew Milk with Chia Seeds.

Imagine how full I am after tasting every dish that was served!

It's always a great experience spending time with these people over good food and good conversation.

Yours truly, JR, Vince, Joy F. and Dems Angeles
