To enjoy the summer heat, we, my sisters Princess,Gelyn and Norlyn and my brother-in-law, Michael, decided to visit Bicol for an AWESOME escapade.

We started our trip by going to Turbina in Laguna for an eight (8) to ten (10) hours of trip via Isarog Bus Line (Cubao – Sorsogon). The ticket was around 900 each for a lazy boy seat with comfort room. We waited for the bus to arrived.

Basilica Minore of Our Lady of Peñafrancia - Built in 1985, the Basilica Minore was constructed as the new home of the miraculous image of "Ina", the Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia, Patroness of Bicolandia. The Basilica was intended to accommodate the increasing number of pilgrims from all over the country, as well as devotees from overseas who come for pilgrimage just to visit, pay homage and venerate the Our Lady during the annual September celebration of her Feast Day.

Penafrancia Diamond Jubilee Pavilion - "a collective gift of all Bicolanos of good standing and of the devotees of Our Lady of Penafrancia from all over the world". The dioceses of Bicol Region can be found on the floor of the Jubilee Arc.

Since we arrived around 3:30 pm on the Basilica, we decided to wait for the 5:00 pm mass. We stroll around the vicinity while waiting for the scheduled Eucharistic celebration.

Not far from the Basilica is the souvenir shop also named after Our Lady of Penafrancia.

After hearing the mass, we go straight to SM CITY NAGA!

Dine in to Molino Grill which serves authentic Bicolano dishes like Pinangat, Laing, Bicol Express and other dishes with a touch of Bicolano flavours.
