#FitnessPH - Hot Yoga Experience at Yoga+ Makati via FitAccess.ph

Fun, Intense and Sweaty Experience!

I tried a lot of different fitness classes before but when I heard about HOT YOGA from a friend, it excites me in an instant. Based on Wikipedia, Hot yoga refers to yoga exercises performed under hot and humid conditions. Often associated with the style devised by Bikram Choudhury, hot yoga is now used to describe any number of yoga styles that use heat to increase an individual's flexibility in the poses. Since this subject interests me, I googled studios which offers hot yoga sessions and as I am doing my research, I come across with a portal named FitAccess.PH which enables me to book a class at Yoga+ in Makati for Hot Yoga A class.

FitAccess.PH is a lifestyle membership portal where fitness enthusiasts can book classes from different partner studios located in the metro which offers different classes base on one’s needs and wants. We all know that working out should never feel like a chore that’s why Fit Access is making it more accessible by giving everyone more interesting workouts.

It was a sunny Sunday morning as I walk my way to Yoga+ Makati which is located at Cambridge Centre 3F, Tordesillas cor. Gallardo Streets Salcedo Vilage, Makati. The studio is easy to find since it’s within my vicinity and the building is well named.

Sheila welcomed me with a smile. She asked me if it’s my first time to attend a class in the studio and I said “Yes”. I filled up a list which contains personal information necessary for first timers. After doing so, she toured me around.

Coincidentally, yoga instructor’s name is Sheila as well. She shared a brief information on what Hot Yoga A class is and what to expect before, during and after class. Here are some of the points she shared us:

•Body should be hydrated at least a day before the scheduled class.

•It is advisable to wear less clothing. As for me, I attended the class with just the shorts on as other male yogis are.

•If felt a little bit dizzy or felt tired during the practice, you may resort to Shavasana (corpse pose) or Balasana (child’s pose) to regulate the breathing and blood flow. Get back to practice once stable.

•The room will gets hotter as the session progresses.

•Try the poses and challenge yourself.

•Have fun and enjoy.

She also instructed first timers to meet her outside after the practice just to have some feedback.

Overall, my first Hot Yoga class is fun, intense and sweaty as it should be. Thank you FitAccess.ph for the hassle free booking and to Hot Yoga+ Makati for an awesome studio and class. I am looking forward to attend more classes via fitaccess.ph.

Inhale. Exhale.

See you around and hope you’ll book your classes soon too.
