#FoodPH - Makansutra Hawkers

Die Die Must Try!

We ordered the 10 pcs. Satay Set (270) from Alhambra Padang Satay and Muslim Food. Satay is a popular Indonesian dish which has 12 different spices before it has beed grilled to perfection. It has a distinct tastes far from Filipino's pork or chicken barbecue. It is best enjoyed with a home made peanut sauce! We're tempted to order rice with this dish but decided to savor the rich flavor coming from stick after stick.

Roti Prata Set (250) from Curry Flurry brings back a lot of memories during my visit to Singapore. I tried it before during one of my breakfasts in Singapore way back 2011. This South Indian Style dish is composed of a fried flatbread that is cooked over a flat grill. It is usually served with a vegetable or a meat-based curry.

Donald and Lily offers a sumptuous bowl of Laksa (250). It is a popular spicy noodle soup in the Peranakan cuisine which is a combination of Malay and Chinese cuisine. The bowl consists of rice vermicelli with chicken, prawn or fish, served in spicy soup (spicy curry coconut milk).

Laksa!

French Toast Kaya or simply the Kaya Toast is a breakfast staple in Singapore. Bread slices are fried in an egg mixture and served with a dollop of kaya and butter. I personally want mine partnered with iced teh tarik.

Ice Kachang is a Malaysian dessert which is also common in Singapore and Brunei. It literally means, ice beans. I still love its Filipino counterpart "halo-halo".

Iced Kachang. Shaved ice with red beans, palm beans and grass jelly topped with vanilla ice cream and dash of ground peanuts.

I am truly happy to discover this authentic hawker place which offers street food right in the comfort of SM Megamall. Value for money guaranteed! I'll still need to go back as there are so many food to cover.

Loving the authentic flavors of this dishes.

Makasutra Hawkers is located at 2/F SM Megamall Building A, Mandaluyong City and open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Until next #MaxiFoodCrawl!
