#CulturePH - 5 Things I Look Forward This 2020

Ended another great year and opening a new chapter in our lives. 2019 was definitely a year full of  awesome experiences, blessings, challenges and fun adventures. Year 2020 will be another year of many "firsts".

For the previous years, I created goals I want to achieve on the year ahead. This year, I thought of just listing the things I look forward to the most and that's what I am sharing you on this blog post.

1. Local and International Travels All Year Round

Last year, I got a chance to visit Boracay, Baguio, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and Jakarta in Indonesia with family and friends. This year, it would be a busier year full of travels. This month, I'll be in Cebu in time for the Sinulog Festival. Revisiting again the beautiful island of Boracay in March with family. Invited friends to come with me in San Vicente, Palawan and explore the country's longest white beach by June. Come September, I'll be exploring the Land of the Dreamweavers, General Santos in South Cotabato. Ending the year is an international travel to Bangkok, Thailand to explore more of their food, art scene and culture.

All of this are confirmed travels so, if you'll be in the area when I am there, don’t hesitate to keep in touch.
2. Fittest Year Ever
I started my fitness journey when I started running. Although I am not that sporty type when I was in high school and college, I always make it a point that I have an active lifestyle. Dancing became my go to activity as I am part of our school dance company. After graduating, I enjoyed running as my exercise.

This year, I commit myself to become fitter and more active than the previous years. I do have a body goal and a target weight so I'll do my best to stay focus achieving it. Staying fit and healthy has been one of my top priorities. We only have one body and we must take care of it.

3. More Road and Trail Running Events

I started my running career way back 2011 and since then, I didn’t stop running. I already lost count how many races I've joined but one thing is for sure,  I don't have any regrets of being in this sport. I am feeling most FREE when I run.

Running is tiring especially when you get competitive at times but that doesn't stop me to enjoy other people's company may it be on the road or trails. The view on each summit during mountain runs are breathtaking. The smile running puts on people's faces after crossing the finish line is priceless.

This year, I look forward to join more races and to train with the best people in my circle.

4. Birthday Party Celebration with Inner Circles

I wanted to do this when I was turning 25 but due to unforeseen circumstances, it didn’t pushed through. I can't believe I am turning 30 this year. A young boy is now a full grown adult. What a good way to celebrate that is to throw a party with my inner circles as a form of thanking them for all the years of friendships through thick and thin. Looking forward late this year for a bashful night full of surprises, games, drinks and fun.

5. More Office Handaan

I am always the one in-charge for office festivities to celebrate work milestones. Part of the planning was to have a food to be shared with everyone. It came to a point that we already ordered everything in Buddys, Amber, Amber's Best, Yellow Cab and Magpantay's Catering to the point that, we can't finish the food because we're already "umay". So I am glad when I heard that Guevarra's will be providing dishes that are great potluck contributions.

Now, I am looking forward to more office handaan to try out Pugon-Roasted Pork Bellychon, Pugon-Roasted US Angus Beef Shortplate, Kare Kare, Kaldereta, Grilled Beef Tapa, Tamarind and Lemongrass-Spiced Roast Chicken Sinampalukan which is best served with Kamote Salad, Fried Chicken Adobo and a lot more.

For sure you want to save some space for desserts like Strawberry Shortcake, Brazo de Calamansi, Mocha Cake, or Brigaderos Cake. The Butterscotch, Crinkles, Brigaderos Balls (yema and dark chocolate truffles), Kalabasa Pastillas Balls (milk candies lightened with squash), Maja Blanca, and Cassava Cake Flan.

I can vouch for that Brigaderos cake as it's extra rich, moist and decadent. The level of sweetness is on point and perfect for a hot cup of brewed coffee.

I am sharing you the menu above just in case you wanted to order something for your celebrations because #GuevarrasHandaanKahitSaan. With all of these things I am looking forward to, I hope I can see you around in some if not all of these awesome adventures that are lined up for the rest of 2020. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for staying with me and enjoying the things I share through ohohleo.ph.

Happy New Year! Wishing you all the best.
