#CulturePH - The Health-Perk Transformation: How a Seoul K-Pop Getaway Rewrote the Rules of Work-Life Loyalty
Stepping onto an international flight with your family after months of balancing work deadlines, wellness goals, and daily family responsibilities brings a unique kind of excitement. We spend so much of our daily routines focusing on financial planning, health management, and career milestones that stepping back to soak in an extraordinary real-world reward feels profoundly earned. When an organization turns standard customer appreciation into a cultural pilgrimage, a routine health journey transforms into a core memory that stays with you forever.
That spirit of lived connection unfolded on October 24, 2026, when nearly 7,000 people from across Asia gathered in Goyang, South Korea, for the “K-Pop Together, Give Together” concert. Hosted by AIA’s regional network, this exclusive cross-market event brought together customers, distributors, employees, and business partners from South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines. Among the vibrant crowd were more than 300 Filipino attendees—including policyholders, agents, and corporate partners—who flew into the heart of the Korean Wave to celebrate community and well-being together.
Stepping into the venue, attendees were greeted by an immersive celebration of Korean culture curated under the event's K-Experience program. Guests explored their personal color seasons through professional K-Beauty analysis, discovered their names written in Hangul, and received exclusive AIA light sticks to wave during the show. Co-hosted by Korean broadcaster Jae Min Park and Girls’ Generation member Tiffany Young, the stage featured high-energy performances from K-Pop legends PSY, J.Y. Park, ITZY, CHUNG HA, and JINUSEAN, creating an atmosphere that bridged language barriers and cultural backgrounds.
Beyond the headlining performances, the event highlighted the tangible human stories behind everyday health choices. Long-time AIA Vitality member Manilyn Cabilin shared how encouraging her fiancé to join the wellness program led to him winning the trip, proving that small everyday health steps can unlock extraordinary real-world moments. For Esperanza Salvador, a first-time visitor to Korea, the trip delivered a deep sense of gratitude and personal care. Meanwhile, AIA Philippines Life Planner Elizabeth Tuanquin reflected on the joy of sharing the experience with her daughter, watching her meet ITZY firsthand—a powerful reminder that the true value of life planning lies in creating joyful memories with the people we love.
This landmark gathering reflects AIA’s broader mission to help people live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives, anchored by the AIA One Billion initiative, which aims to inspire one billion people across Asia to live healthier lives by 2030. As Ji-Ye Hwang, Chief Marketing Officer of AIA Korea, and Melita Teo, President and Chief Executive Officer of AIA Philippines, noted, uniting diverse communities on a world-class stage demonstrates how shared passions can bring corporate purpose to life far beyond traditional business transactions.
Every participating market also tied the celebration to a regional giving initiative supporting local charitable causes. In the Philippines, AIA Philippines partnered with the Kythe Foundation to support children battling chronic illnesses and their families. With AIA Philippines managing PHP 253.35 billion in total assets as of late 2025 and serving over 2.1 million individual policyholders and group members alongside BPI AIA, combining scale with community giving shows how holistic wellness extends from individual health choices to collective social impact.
Connecting personal health habits, financial security, and unforgettable cultural rewards reshapes how we view work-life balance. When caring for your physical and financial health leads directly to celebrating alongside thousands of peers in Seoul, wellness stops feeling like a daily chore and starts feeling like the gateway to a richer, more connected life.
