#TheaterPH - Random Thoughts about Heneral Luna.

It's like watching a recorded stage play as it stars the brilliant actors and actresses of the Filipino theater scene.

John Arcilla's portrayal to Antonio Luna's role is so flawless it will made you feel where he is coming from as a frustrated commanding general of the Republic of the Philippines.

Pong Ignacio's keen eye to details is exceptional as he presented magnificent cinematography with picturesque scenes from start to finish.

For people who were exposed much of independent films may it be intellectually appetizing or not, this film might fall on 3.5 out of 5 category but for people who were used to romantic comedy type mainstream films, this would be a 6 out of 5.

Mind blowing, ultimately fierce, darkly funny, and delightfully entertaining. #HeneralLuna is one significant film every Filipino should watch.

I love how Jerrold Tarog presents all the sarcasm and the sickness of the society.

This film will surely engage you and will envelope you with rage. Politics during this era is totally bloody, literally and figuratively. Eye for an eye. Tooth for a tooth. Strong loyalty was possessed by revolutionaries as everyone tried to work underground.

Kalaban laban sa kalaban. Kalaban laban sa kakampi.

Same goals but different approach will lead to a test of character. At the end of the day, one will need to make better choices.

Have you seen this film? Any thoughts about it?
