Global sports brand PUMA has released Melo x MNL Tee, a Philippine-exclusive shirt that features iconic Filipino vehicles and 2021 NBA Rookie of the Year LaMelo Ball. 

An homage to the unique basketball culture in the Philippines, Pinoys’ love for the sport, and Ball’s confident playmaking skills and flashy fashion style, the shirt features the PUMA global ambassador and NBA All-Star Game player making his way through the city by riding two iconic Filipino vehicles — the jeepney and tricycle. These two are not just modes of transportation; they are symbols of the country’s rich cultural heritage and its bustling streets. The palm trees in the background, meanwhile, are a nod to the Philippines’ tropical climate and stunning beaches.

The tee also seamlessly blends PUMA’s icons with subtle hints of the PUMA Hoops core elements, creating an eye-catching look.

Basketball rings can be found on every corner of the Philippines, a testament to the country's love for the game. This offering encapsulates that passion and turns it into a striking piece that proudly showcases Manila’s urban culture in a unique and stylish way. Shirt designer Joshua Pichardo added, “The chosen fonts, bold and deliberate, echo the tenacity of basketball lovers and the spirit of adventure. The Melo x MNL Tee comes in black, gray, and white, and retails for PHP 2,500. It is now available at select stores including PUMA 2F Glorietta 3, L2 Main Wing Shangri-La Plaza, GF Eastwood Mall, and L1 Ayala Center Cebu, as well as PUMA SM North EDSA and Foot Locker Glorietta, Manila Bay, and Gateway.
