#CulturePH - Oris and The Oceans Project!

Oris just launched their Ocean Trilogy that aims to save the world's ocean.

Did you know that the Oris Ocean Trilogy box is made out of recycled material? The process begins with used plastic bottled. Only chemically inert recycled plastic waste is selected. Plastic bottles are then shred into small pieces. These pieces are arranged be hand and then pressed into a panel. Each panel is unique. The panels are then cut to size and assembled into the Oris Ocean Trilogy  presentation box' outer shell.

Only 200 pieces of The Blue Whale Limited Edition will be made, and it is only available as part of the Ocean Trilogy set, which comes in a box with an outer shell made of environmentally friendly algae and a recycled plastic inlay.

The Great Barrier Reef Limited Edition III supports a program to regrow devastated coral reefs. The proceeds from the sales of this model are linked to a coral planting project by the Reef Restoration Foundation to save the world’s largest and most diverse reef system off Fitzroy Island near Cairns, Australia.

The Clean Ocean Limited Edition supports an Oris partnership with Pacific Garbage Screening, which is developing technology to capture plastic before it enters the ocean. The system, developed by an architect, works by positioning a floating platform in the path of ocean currents where it filters plastics and microplastics.

I am glad that there is a company supporting these movements to have a better place to live in. 😉
