#TravelPH - What's With Puerto Princesa City Tour?

Puerto Princesa City is not just a stop when you're exploring different parts of Palawan like that of El Nido, San Vicente, Araceli or Quezon. The city has its own beauty which tourists can explore when in #PuertoPrincesa. For this blog, I'll be sharing with you different tourist attractions you may visit as part of the Puerto Princesa City Tour.

FIRST STOP: Plaza Cuartel

At The Gates Of Plaza Cuartel

It is an outdoor park and a landmark in Palawan that used to be a penal colony during World War II. The Spaniards initially built it as a garrison to protect the country from invasion.

SECOND STOP: Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral

Marker at Immaculate Conception Cathedral

The Puerto Princesa Cathedral, also known as the Immaculate Conception Cathedral Parish, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in the city of Puerto Princesa, Palawan. It is in the Neo-Gothic architectural tradition and is the mother church of the Apostolic Vicariate of Puerto Princesa which covers the municipalities of Palawan west of Puerto Princesa City. It is located at the border of Barangay Matiyaga Poblacion and Liwanag Poblacion, near the Port of Puerto Princesa.

THIRD STOP: BUTTERFLY ECOLOGICAL GARDEN AND TRIBAL VILLAGE

One of the murals outside Butterfly Garden

Mesmerized again with the life cycle of butterflies during our visit in this spot. Aside from butterflies, they also  have scorpions, green-crested lizards, phasmid, mantises, and peacock pheasant.

After spending some time with the butterflies, we headed to Palawan Tribal Village to immersed ourselves with Palawan way of life. They showed us a glimpse of their daily lives as well as tradition that was pass on generation after generation. It was truly a remarkable experience.

FOURTH STOP: BAKER'S HILL

Baker's Hill products

When in Puerto Princesa, your visit will not be complete if you haven't visit Baker's Hill and haven't tasted their freshly baked hopia. They continue to evolve now that they have other baked goodies aside from their usual hopia. Looking for pasalubong for your loved ones? This is definitely number 1 on the list!

My new favorite. Pastillas Hopia from Baker's Hill

FIFTH STOP: MITRA'S RANCH

Mitra's Ranch

A property owned by the late senator and statesman Ramon Mitra, this historical site became one of the go to tourist destinations.

This is a great spot to relax and to have a breather from the bustling city life. This is just a few meters from Baker's Hill.

SIXTH STOP: CROCODILE FARM: PALAWAN WILDLIFE RESCUE CENTER

Preserved Crocodile Bones at Palawan Wildlife Rescue Center. Hello to my photo bombers. Christine from Byahe ni Basha and Richard from LionHeartTV

Just 9 kms. away from central Puerto Princesa, this institution aims to introduce crocodile farming technology as another form of an income generating project in the Philippines to help out local farmers. This site also serves as home to endangered species and other rescued animals from the wild.
