#CulturePH - Training Begins at Home: How RLC Residences Communities Help Raise Little Champions
For many young athletes, the journey to becoming a champion begins not on the racecourse but at home. At RLC Residences, creating spaces where families grow, thrive, and build meaningful memories is at the heart of every community. Beyond providing homes, the developer is committed to building environments that inspire growth, nurture dreams, and strengthen family connections.
This vision came to life in 2024, through its partnership with IRONKIDS, the youth racing platform of the IRONMAN Group. This collaboration brought together two organizations that share a common advocacy: helping young individuals develop resilience, determination, and confidence.
At the heart of this
collaboration is Raising Little Champions, RLC Residences’ initiative that
celebrates the journey of young athletes and their families. More than a
program, Raising Little Champions is a movement where kids discover strength,
discipline, and confidence through sport. This supports RLC Residences’ mission
to build not just homes, but a community that supports, empowers, and believes
in the next generation.
To further strengthen
the partnership, RLC Residences formed the Junior Tri-Team, uniting dedicated
young athletes—some of whom are residents of their own developments. The team
is guided by professional coaches in their training, including swim sessions at
The Trion Towers in Bonifacio Global City—one of RLC Residences' premium
developments.
“What we build goes
beyond walls and amenities. We build communities where families connect,
children feel safe, and growth is encouraged,” said Isabela Romualdez, RLC
Residences’ Brand Management Head.
“Raising Little
Champions is that belief put into action — showing how our communities support
families not just today, but in the moments and years that truly matter,” she
added.
By integrating active lifestyle spaces within their developments, RLC Residences helps create an environment where children can pursue sports and personal growth close to home. Many of their communities are designed with amenities that encourage movement and healthy living—from swimming pools to open spaces where kids can train and stay active.
Upcoming developments
like MIRA, a pre-selling condominium in Quezon City, and Sierra Valley Gardens
in Cainta, Rizal, are envisioned with these opportunities in mind. Their
family-friendly amenities, like MIRA’s pools and outdoor fitness space, and
Sierra Valley Gardens’ play area and bike trail, offer ideal spaces where young
athletes can train, practice, and develop the discipline that sports inspire.
In addition to the
sports events within the IRONKIDS programs, RLC Residences also hosts Family
Day events that bring together young athletes and their families, creating
opportunities to celebrate milestones, strengthen relationships, and foster a
sense of belonging within the community.
Looking ahead, RLC
Residences IRONKIDS 2026 will take place in three exciting legs across the
country: Davao on March 21, Subic Bay on June 6, and Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu on
August 8. These races will once again bring together families who believe in
raising children with strong values—built through sport and a supportive
community.
This partnership
between RLC Residences and IRONKIDS continues to empower families to nurture
the “champions of tomorrow.” Each young athlete—and every supportive parent—has
a story of how the right environment can inspire confidence, determination, and
lifelong growth.
Because sometimes, the
first step toward becoming a champion starts with the place you call home.
