#CulturePH - Jollibee Group Partners with Rizal Province to Provide Jobs for Senior Citizens and PWDs
The Jollibee Group is spreading joy this holiday season with a heartwarming initiative! In a groundbreaking partnership with the provincial government of Rizal, led by Governor Nina Ynares, Jollibee is offering temporary jobs to senior citizens (SCs) and persons with disabilities (PWDs). This marks the first provincial-level partnership for Jollibee and the largest of its kind in the food industry, showcasing the company's commitment to inclusive employment.
A Step Towards Inclusive Employment
As of September 2024, the Jollibee Group has already hired over 400 SCs and PWDs across various cities, including Manila, Muntinlupa, Pasig, Quezon City, and Antipolo. This initiative is now expanding in Rizal Province, where an additional 60 SCs and PWDs will be employed at 20 Jollibee, Chowking, and Greenwich stores. These new team members will assist with welcoming customers and table service, bringing their unique skills and warmth to the workplace.
The program is already active in Antipolo City and Taytay, with plans to launch soon in San Mateo and Tanay following recent memorandum of agreement (MOA) signings. Efforts are also underway to finalize agreements with the municipalities of Rodriguez and Teresa.
A Commitment to Community
“We are happy to support the efforts of Rizal Province in advancing the interests of the elderly and PWDs. Through this partnership, we will be able to help those who have the capacity and desire to work and give them the opportunity to join us in our mission of bringing the joy of eating to everyone,” said Ruth Angeles, Chief Human Resources Officer, JFC Philippines, and Head for Human Resources, Jollibee Brand International.
The Jollibee Group aims to continue expanding this program, with a goal of hiring more than 500 seniors and PWDs by 2025.
