#TravelPH - AirAsia Philippines Is Changing the Game in Cabin Crew Recruitment—And It’s About Time
Forget the stiff suits and runway-ready makeup—AirAsia Philippines is rewriting the rules of cabin crew recruitment, and it’s all about authenticity, inclusivity, and heart.
Starting August 20 and running every Wednesday until August 29, aspiring cabin crew members are invited to join Allstar Wednesday Castings, a fresh take on the traditional hiring process. Instead of formal wear, applicants can show up in simple, comfortable outfits: white shirts, denim, and sneakers (or heels for women). It’s a move that not only eases the financial burden of dressing up but also puts the focus where it truly belongs—on personality, potential, and passion.
This isn’t just a casting call—it’s a glimpse into life at 30,000 feet. Candidates will experience a more realistic work environment, interact with seasoned crew, and get a taste of the Allstar culture that’s made AirAsia a standout in the skies. It’s a bold shift from the usual pageant-style screenings to a more service-oriented, guest-focused approach.
“We’re reimagining recruitment to focus on what really matters—talent, attitude, and the skills to thrive in the skies,” says AirAsia Philippines CEO Suresh Bangah. “We want to be part of the journey for those who dream of flying, and we’re making sure that dream is more accessible than ever.”
Applicants should bring an updated resume, a recent non-AI-generated photo, and be ready to flash their warmest smiles. While college graduates are encouraged, senior high school grads are also welcome. Fluency in English and Filipino—or other languages—is a plus, and height requirements will be based on BMI for a fairer assessment.
This marks AirAsia Philippines’ fourth open recruitment day this year, with three successful batches already onboarded and more opportunities on the horizon. It’s a clear signal that the airline is serious about opening doors and breaking barriers.
So, if you’ve ever dreamed of soaring through the skies, now’s your chance to do it your way—no frills, just real potential.
