The numbers tell the story. Orders processed through
Fulfilled by Shopee (FBS) jumped 2.5 times compared to last year’s 9.9. That surge wasn’t just about volume—it was about speed. With FBS, sellers store products in Shopee’s fulfillment network across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, allowing the platform to handle storage, packing, shipping, and returns. For shoppers, this means faster deliveries: 1–2 days in Metro Manila, 3–5 days in Visayas and Mindanao. Compare that to the 7–10 days typical of non-FBS sellers, and you see why more buyers are leaning into the system.
But fulfillment was only half the story. The other half was content. Shopee’s affiliate ecosystem more than doubled in activity, giving shoppers more opportunities to discover products through creator recommendations. Watch time across Shopee Video and Drama surged 79% year-on-year, while Shopee Live drew over 3.7 million viewers—a 73% jump compared to an average day. That’s not just shopping; that’s entertainment, community, and discovery rolled into one.
Vincent Lee, Head of Shopee Philippines, summed it up: “Our role is to make sure shoppers get what they need reliably, sellers can keep up with the demand, and creators have more opportunities to connect people with the right products.” It’s a vision of e-commerce where everyone—buyers, sellers, and creators—has a role to play.
What makes this shift exciting is how inclusive it feels. Shopping isn’t just about buying anymore; it’s about participating. Creators can influence discovery and earn from it, sellers can scale with fulfillment support, and shoppers can enjoy faster deliveries and richer experiences. It’s a cycle that feeds itself, especially as the holiday season ramps up.
9.9 was just the beginning. With Christmas approaching, activity will only build. And if this campaign is any indication, holiday shopping in 2026 won’t just be about what’s in your cart—it will be about the stories, videos, and connections that bring those products to life.
In the end, Shopee’s 9.9 results highlight a bigger truth: e-commerce is evolving into something more human. It’s not just about efficiency—it’s about engagement. And as the holidays unfold, that blend of speed, discovery, and community might just be the gift we didn’t know we needed.
