On Sunday, September 11, about 300 fans of Filipino wrestling flocked to the PETA Theater Center to see "Mr. Philippine Wrestling" Jake De Leon crowned as the new Manila Wrestling Federation (MWF) Pinoy Wrestling Champion. De Leon raced in the main event and prevailed over two of the greatest performance athletes in the nation, Nigel San Jose and Fabio Makisig.

Jake de Leon - New MWF Champion

Multiple Southeast Asian wrestling championships have been won by Jake De Leon. He has competed for his nation in a number of international bouts, most notably in mainland China where he tried out for the WWE in 2019. He has also competed for the nation in contests in Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, and other places. De Leon, a pioneer in Philippine wrestling with nearly ten years of experience in the arena, is one of the most respected and accomplished Filipino athletes in the genre.
