#FinancePH - Security Bank named as top Philippine employer

According to the newly published 2023 Philippines' Best Employers survey conducted by Statista, the world's top data and business intelligence platform, Security Bank Corporation was found to be the best local bank for employment.

The rating is the result of an extensive study initiative that assessed the opinions of thousands of Filipino workers across a variety of sectors, including manufacturing, FMCG, e-commerce, banking, and finance. The rankings were open to businesses with more than 250 employees, and as a result of this campaign, the Bank was named the number one local bank.

“Security Bank has made great strides in improving the work culture of its employees and this recognition affirms that we are on the right path. The Bank continues to innovate its people programs to attract, engage, upskill, and retain the best talent, as well as foster a strong and distinctive culture among its employees,” says Nerissa Berba, SVP and Head of Human Capital Management at Security Bank.

Since 2020, the Bank has implemented programs that promote staff wellbeing, strengthen their capacity for learning and development, and give them chances to advance. The Bank also employs a hybrid work arrangement that allows many of its employees to work from home, along with tools that provide a secure, protected, and beneficial working environment.

Security Bank has only received recognition for its people initiatives this year from worldwide awarding organizations, including Asiamoney's Best Bank for Diversity and Inclusion - Philippines and Retail Banker International's Best Advance in Managing a Remote Workforce. The Bank got the Best Culture of Learning and Diversity Champion awards from LinkedIn in 2021.

“Our goal to become the Employer of Choice in the country is starting to become a reality. Our efforts to build a strong work culture is driven by our #BetterBanking promise of service excellence and anchored on our mission to enrich lives, empower businesses, and build communities sustainably,” adds Berba.
