#CulturePH - L’Oréal Philippines Unveils New HQ, Blending Beauty, Sustainability, and Purpose
In the heart of Ortigas, a new kind of beauty hub has emerged—one that’s not just about cosmetics, but about community, sustainability, and innovation. L’Oréal Philippines has officially opened the doors to its new headquarters at The Podium West Tower, marking a bold new chapter in its 36-year journey in the country.
Perched on the 35th floor of a LEED GOLD Certified building, the new space is more than just an office. It’s a vibrant, future-ready environment powered entirely by renewable energy. Inside, you’ll find the L’Oréal Academy, livestream studios, and thoughtfully designed workspaces that prioritize collaboration, wellness, and eco-conscious living.
Beauty with a Bigger Purpose
At the recent “Sense of Purpose” event, L’Oréal brought together over 350 guests—from government officials and business leaders to students and community partners—to celebrate the beauty industry’s role in shaping society. The message was clear: beauty isn’t just skin deep. It’s a force for empowerment, especially for women and youth, and a driver of economic growth through local manufacturing, salons, e-commerce, and more.
Yassine Bakkari, L’Oréal Philippines’ Country Managing Director, summed it up best: “We’re not just opening a new office—we’re reaffirming our mission to lead with impact. Beauty is essential to confidence, livelihood, and progress.”
Tech Meets Tradition
Filipino beauty is a rich tapestry of heritage and modernity, and L’Oréal is embracing that diversity through cutting-edge Beauty Tech. At the event, guests got a glimpse of innovations like the Lancôme Skin Screen, which analyzes skin in just 20 minutes, and the Kérastase K-Scan for scalp health. These tools are part of L’Oréal’s “Beauty for Each” strategy, which aims to personalize beauty experiences for every Filipino.
A Greener Future, One Bottle at a Time
Plastic pollution remains a pressing issue in the Philippines, and L’Oréal is stepping up. Since 2023, the company has recovered 875 metric tons of plastic waste—roughly the weight of 150 jeepneys—through its partnership with PCX Markets. These plastics are transformed into outdoor furniture and PET flakes. Meanwhile, the “Recycle for Rewards” program with Watsons encourages consumers to return used beauty products in exchange for perks.
Empowering Through Education
Beyond products and packaging, L’Oréal is investing in people. Through initiatives like the Beauty For A Better Life program and E-Beauty Advisor Training, nearly 3,000 Filipinos from vulnerable communities have gained access to education and livelihood opportunities. The goal? To empower 10,000 individuals by 2030.
This mission is made possible through strong partnerships with local governments, NGOs like SPARK! Philippines and PBSP, and corporate allies including Watsons and TikTok.
L’Oréal’s new headquarters isn’t just a physical space—it’s a symbol of what the future of beauty can look like: inclusive, sustainable, and deeply rooted in purpose. As the company continues to grow, it’s clear that its vision goes far beyond the mirror. It’s about creating beauty that moves the Philippines forward.
