#CulturePH - A Nation Walks Together: ASP Angels Walk for Autism Unites Communities Across the Philippines
Across the country, a wave of compassion and solidarity is sweeping through SM malls as thousands gather for the ASP Angels Walk for Autism—a powerful movement that’s turning everyday spaces into platforms for inclusion, awareness, and love.
From the cool mountain air of Baguio to the vibrant streets of Davao, over 10,000 Filipinos came together in a sea of blue and green, walking side by side with individuals on the autism spectrum. Families, educators, advocates, and allies filled the activity halls of SM City Lipa, Lucena, Iloilo, Tuguegarao, Davao, Butuan, Baguio, Bacolod, and Seaside Cebu, with a special celebration held in Malaybalay, proving that inclusion knows no boundaries.
More Than a Walk—A Movement of the Heart
Each step taken during the ASP Angels Walk is a step toward a more inclusive future. At SM City Bacolod, the atmosphere was electric with hope. In Butuan, the community stood proudly in support. In Davao, smiles lit up the mall as people came together in unity. And in Lipa, the love and support for the autism community was palpable.
These moments weren’t just symbolic—they were deeply personal. A father and son sharing a quiet moment. A group of nursing students from the University of the Cordilleras joining hands with families in Baguio. Local champions in Iloilo and Lucena showing up with open hearts. Each story, each face, each walk was a reminder that neurodiversity is something to be embraced, not hidden.
The Journey Continues: All Roads Lead to MOA Arena
The movement is building toward its biggest moment yet. On May 18, 2025, the SM Mall of Asia Arena will host the culminating ASP Angels Walk for Autism—expected to be the largest gathering for autism inclusion in the country. Thousands more will come together for a morning of unity, celebration, and hope.
Organized by the Autism Society Philippines and proudly supported by SM Cares, this nationwide initiative is more than an event—it’s a call to action. A reminder that acceptance begins with community, and that every person deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated.
Whether you’re walking for a loved one, a friend, or simply for a more inclusive world, your presence matters. Join the movement and be part of something truly meaningful.
