#CulturePH - From City Streets to Mountain Trails: AXA’s Week for Good Sparks Volunteerism Across the Philippines
In a world that often moves too fast, it’s refreshing to see a company slow down and give back. AXA Philippines did just that during its annual Week for Good, a nationwide celebration of community, compassion, and purpose. From Luzon to Mindanao, AXA employees stepped out of their offices and into the heart of local communities—bringing with them not just resources, but real human connection.
At the Makati headquarters, the week kicked off with a burst of energy and empathy. Children from the Payatas Orione Foundation were welcomed for a day of storytelling, play, and learning—proof that small moments can leave lasting impressions. The HQ also hosted an NGO Fair, where 17 partner organizations showcased their causes and sustainable products. Employees mingled with advocates, supported community livelihoods, and learned about mental health, education, and environmental care.
But the impact didn’t stop there.
Workshops like the Eco-Make Lab and Handmade with Love turned everyday items into symbols of hope. Employees crafted macramé pouches with women artisans from Project Pearls and assembled educational kits for underprivileged children. These hands-on experiences weren’t just creative—they were deeply personal, reminding everyone of the power of shared purpose.
The spirit of volunteerism spread far beyond Metro Manila. In Davao and Cebu, AXA teams joined the One Great AXA Walk, a vibrant show of unity and wellness. In Siniloan, Laguna, volunteers planted over 1,200 seedlings as part of a reforestation effort in Sierra Madre, while also hosting financial literacy workshops to empower local residents.
With over 1,100 volunteers participating nationwide—many for the first time—AXA’s Week for Good wasn’t just a corporate initiative. It was a movement. A reminder that when people come together with heart and intention, real change happens.
This year’s celebration may have ended, but the stories, connections, and impact will continue to grow. Because at AXA, giving back isn’t just a one-week affair—it’s a way of life.
