#CulturePH - LBC Express Marks a Strong Comeback in Its 75th Year

In a year that celebrates its 75th anniversary, LBC Express is proving that resilience and innovation go hand in hand. The company has officially returned to profitability in the first half of 2025, posting a net income of ₱181.3 million—a remarkable turnaround from last year’s loss of ₱190.9 million.

While service revenues dipped slightly to ₱6.98 billion, LBC managed to boost its gross profit by 6%, thanks to smarter cost management and consistent demand across its logistics and money service lines. The company’s operating income also saw a healthy 19% increase, signaling that its strategy is not just working—it’s thriving.

Quarterly performance was equally impressive. From April to June, LBC recorded ₱132.6 million in net income, reversing a loss from the same period last year. Logistics continues to be the backbone of the business, contributing a whopping 97% of total revenues, with retail and corporate solutions making up the bulk of that figure.

“We are on track and delivering even better results,” said Enrique V. Rey Jr., LBC’s Chief Finance Officer. “Over nearly 75 years in business, we have faced our share of challenges, but each one has made us stronger.”

Founded in 1950, LBC has grown from a humble courier service in Manila to a global logistics and remittance powerhouse. With over 6,400 locations across more than 30 countries, the company remains committed to expanding its reach, investing in technology, and delivering reliable service to communities worldwide.

This milestone isn’t just about numbers—it’s a testament to LBC’s enduring mission to connect lives and deliver smiles, one package at a time.
