#CulturePH - How PNB Holdings Is Building Better Communities—One Purposeful Project at a Time

In the world of real estate, it’s easy to focus on buildings, numbers, and square footage. But PNB Holdings Corporation (PHC) is proving that true impact goes far beyond property lines. Through its flagship CSR initiative, Project Solicitude, PHC is showing how thoughtful corporate action can uplift lives and strengthen communities.

As part of the Lucio Tan Group of Companies, PHC has embraced a broader mission: to create spaces that are not only functional but also inclusive, resilient, and sustainable. Project Solicitude is the embodiment of that mission, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and focusing on four key areas: environmental stewardship, accessibility, community health and well-being, and disaster resilience.

Over the course of the campaign, PHC rolled out six meaningful initiatives:

  • A disaster preparedness workshop led by survival expert Dr. Ted Esguerra
  • A blood donation drive in partnership with the Philippine National Red Cross
  • An accessibility and sensitivity workshop with the National Council on Disability Affairs
  • Participation in a national clean-up drive along the Marikina River
  • A holiday gift-giving program for underserved families in Pasay and Pampanga
  • A week-long sustainability fair promoting eco-conscious living

These efforts reached over 1,031 internal stakeholders and 300 families, with the help of seven partner organizations. Each activity was designed not just to check a box, but to make a real difference — whether by sharing life-saving knowledge, promoting inclusive design, or simply spreading joy during the holidays.

“Our goal with Project Solicitude is to ensure that our developments contribute positively to the communities around them,” said PHC COO Joselito R. Consunji. “Real estate should not only serve commercial purposes, but also help create environments that are inclusive, resilient, and responsive to real-world challenges.”

Looking ahead, PHC plans to expand the program with new initiatives focused on solid waste management, inclusive community engagement, and health and wellness. It’s a clear sign that PHC is committed to building more than just properties — it’s building a legacy of care.
