#CulturePH - LAB for ALL Caravan: Bringing Free Healthcare Closer to San Juan Families

Healthcare can often feel out of reach for many Filipino families, but a recent event in San Juan City is proving that access to essential medical services doesn’t have to be a privilege. On August 26, the LAB for ALL caravan rolled into the FilOil Centre, opening its doors to more than 1,500 San JuaneƱos for a day filled with free medical consultations, medicines, vitamins, and even laboratory procedures like X-rays and ECGs.

Spearheaded by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, the initiative is all about lifting the financial burden of healthcare. The nationwide caravan has already reached over 1,200 registered patients, delivering thousands of medical and dental services across its missions. The message is clear: every Filipino deserves access to quality healthcare, no matter where they live or what their circumstances may be.

The event was a true community effort, with volunteers, public agencies, and private partners coming together. Bell-Kenz Pharma Inc. played a key role, providing free prescription medicines and vitamins to hundreds of residents. Their CEO, Luis Raymond Go, summed it up perfectly: “Access to reliable treatment should not be a privilege. We are proud to support Lab for All in making quality healthcare more accessible to everyday Filipinos.”

San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora and Representative Bel Zamora-Jornada joined the First Lady in reaching out to their constituents, highlighting the city’s commitment to accessible healthcare for all. The caravan’s visit was a proud moment for San Juan, showing what’s possible when government and private sector resources are combined for the greater good.

The LAB for ALL program isn’t stopping in San Juan. With more city missions on the horizon, the initiative continues to bridge gaps in healthcare by bringing services directly to communities—especially those in vulnerable sectors. From medical tools and medicines to social support, LAB for ALL is working to make “mahal magkasakit” (it’s expensive to get sick) a thing of the past for underserved families.

This event was made possible through the collaboration of numerous government agencies and private partners, all united by a single goal: to empower every Filipino with access to the healthcare they deserve.

Stay tuned for more updates as LAB for ALL continues its journey across the country, bringing hope, healing, and a healthier future to every barangay.
