Written by Suzie Miller and directed by Justin Martin, Inter Alia follows London Crown Court Judge Jessica Parks, played by Academy Award-nominated Rosamund Pike. Jessica is a woman at the top of her game, challenging the system and balancing her role as a mother. But when her own son is convicted of a crime, her morals and identity are put to the test. The Importance of Being Earnest: Satire and Self-Reinvention
Oscar Wilde’s classic comedy gets a fresh stage adaptation, directed by Max Webster. Ncuti Gatwa (Doctor Who, Sex Education) and Hugh Skinner (Mamma Mia!) star as Algernon and Jack, two men living double lives in Victorian England. Their antics—assuming the name ‘Ernest’ to dodge social expectations—offer a witty critique of the era’s norms and the performative nature of identity.
Despite its historical setting, The Importance of Being Earnest remains relevant, poking fun at the ways we reinvent ourselves to fit in, and reminding us that some social pressures never really go out of style.
Bringing London’s Theatre Magic to the Philippines
CCP National Theatre Live, in partnership with National Theatre Live London and Ayala Malls Cinemas, continues to make world-class drama accessible to Filipino audiences.
