#FitnessPH - A Celebration of Dreams, Sweat, and Community: EastWest’s Dream Run Finale Lights Up Manila

Last weekend, the Filinvest Event Grounds in Alabang transformed into a vibrant sea of sneakers, smiles, and shared goals as over 6,000 runners gathered for the grand finale of the EastWest Dream Run 2025. It wasn’t just a race—it was a celebration of milestones, memories, and movement.

Marking EastWest Bank’s 30th anniversary and the Filinvest Group’s 70th year, the event brought together people from all walks of life. From seasoned runners to first-timers, families with kids, and even furry friends, everyone had a place on the course—and a reason to run.

EastWest’s very own founders joined the festivities, including Filinvest Chairman Jonathan Gotianun, who ran alongside employees, partners, and customers. It was a powerful moment of unity, showing just how far the bank has come with its community by its side.

More Than Just a Race

The Dream Run offered something for everyone: a 1K Dog Run for pet lovers, a 2K Kids Dash, and distances up to the 30K Dream Challenge for the truly ambitious. But the real magic happened beyond the finish line.

Runners were welcomed into a lively festival village, complete with a Zumba party, free taho and sorbetes, and loot bags packed with goodies from brands like Gatorade, Monde Nuvi, Salonpas, and more. It was a morning that felt more like a neighborhood fiesta than a fitness event.

Interactive booths from EastWest and sponsors like Filinvest Land, Crimson Alabang, Mogu Mogu, and Surge Fitness kept the energy high and the smiles wide. Mazda and other partners also played a key role in making the event a success.

Chasing Dreams, Catching Medals

Every participant took home a beautifully designed Dreamcatcher medal—a nod to EastWest’s mantra, Your Dream, Our Focus. And for those who pushed their limits, top finishers in each category were recognized for their grit and speed.

But beyond the podium, the day was filled with heartwarming stories: families running their first race together, barkadas who trained for months, and everyday heroes who showed up and gave it their all.

Coach Rio dela Cruz, the creative mind behind the event, summed it up best: “Every leg had something special, but Manila was different. It was full of energy, full of heart.”

While the Dream Run series has crossed its final finish line for now, EastWest CEO Jerry Ngo hinted that this is just the beginning. “This year was about finding new ways to connect with the people who believe in what EastWest stands for. That connection doesn’t stop here.”

With plans to bring the Dream Run spirit to more cities, it’s clear that this isn’t just a one-time celebration—it’s the start of a tradition.
