#TheaterPH - Jon Santos Lights Up the Stage Again with Two Must-See Theater Events This Pride Month

There’s something magical about seeing a beloved performer return to the spotlight—and this June, Jon Santos is doing just that. The celebrated comedy icon and master impersonator is back, bringing his signature brilliance to not just one, but two powerful productions from The Sandbox Collective.

First up is the return of Bawat Bonggang Bagay (BBB), the Filipino adaptation of Every Brilliant Thing by Duncan Macmillan and Jonny Donahoe. This intimate, one-act play is more than just a performance—it’s an experience. With its heartfelt exploration of love, loss, and mental health, BBB invites the audience to become part of the story, creating a shared space of empathy and connection.

Jon Santos reprises his role in this limited-run production, which has already touched hearts in its sold-out 2023 and 2024 runs. Directed once again by the award-winning Jenny Jamora, and translated by the talented Guelan Luarca, BBB is a beautiful reminder of the little things that make life worth living. Catch it from June 14 to 22, 2025, at the Power Mac Center Spotlight Black Box Theater in Circuit Makati.

But that’s not all—Santos is also stepping into the dazzling world of Side Show: The Musical, opening this July. Set in 1930s America, the musical tells the story of conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton, who rose to fame in the vaudeville scene. Santos plays “The Boss,” the charismatic ringmaster who introduces audiences to the extraordinary world of the sideshow.

Directed by Toff de Venecia, with musical direction by Ejay Yatco, Side Show promises a visually stunning and emotionally rich production. It runs from July 26 to August 17, 2025, also at the Power Mac Center Spotlight.
