#MusicPH - JADE Unleashes Electro-Pop Perfection with New Single ‘Plastic Box’
JADE is back—and she’s not holding back. The global pop sensation just dropped her latest single, “Plastic Box,” and it’s already making waves with its pulsing synths, emotional honesty, and signature JADE flair.
Co-written with GRADES and Lauren Aquilina and co-produced by Oscar Görres, “Plastic Box” dives deep into the messy, irrational feelings of jealousy that can creep into even the healthiest relationships. But don’t expect a moody ballad—this is a happy-sad pop anthem that’s as danceable as it is relatable.
“It’s about that irrational and toxic insecurity within us when we think about our partner’s previous relationships,” JADE shares. “Even though we know everyone has a past. It’s one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written.”
A Glimpse Into Her Debut Album
“Plastic Box” is the latest teaser from JADE’s upcoming debut solo album, THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY!, dropping on September 12. The album is shaping up to be a pop powerhouse, with collaborations from heavy-hitters like Mike Sabath, Lostboy, Cirkut, RAYE, and Pablo Bowman.
On Tour and On Fire
JADE’s first solo UK and Ireland tour, THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY! – THE TOUR, is already sold out, with fans eagerly awaiting her performances in cities like Dublin, Manchester, Glasgow, and London’s iconic Roundhouse this October and November.
She’s also been lighting up the stage at major festivals, including Radio 1’s Big Weekend and Mighty Hoopla, where she debuted “Plastic Box” to roaring crowds. And if that’s not enough, she’s set to perform a special orchestral concert at the BBC Proms in Newcastle on July 25.
A Year of Milestones
JADE’s solo career has skyrocketed in just 10 months, racking up 190 million streams and earning accolades left and right. From winning ‘Pop Act’ at the BRIT Awards to being nominated for an Ivor Novello Award, she’s proving she’s not just a rising star—she’s a force.
Her debut single, “Angel Of My Dreams,” was a breakout hit, landing at No.7 on the UK charts and earning praise from The Guardian, NME, and Clash Magazine. Since then, she’s released a string of genre-blending tracks like “Midnight Cowboy,” “Fantasy,” “IT girl,” and “FUFN,” each showcasing a different side of her artistry.
This summer, JADE is set to take over even more stages, including Glastonbury, All Points East, TRNSMT, and Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. With “Plastic Box” setting the tone, her debut album on the horizon, and a sold-out tour ahead, JADE is clearly in her pop star era—and we’re all here for it.
